Instant Pay is a feature that is completely free for you and will enable you to pay your experts almost instantly. This feature does NOT impact the payment terms you have agreed with Graphite.
What is Instant Pay?
Instant Pay provides experts you hire on Graphite the ability to request instant access to payments from Graphite. You will continue to pay Graphite on the same payment terms we’ve agreed to with you.
How does Instant Pay work?
Step 1: Experts can request Instant Pay on an invoice-by-invoice or per-project basis.
Step 2: Graphite reaches out to you by email to obtain approval for their work.
Step 3: Once you approve the Expert’s invoice in the platform (gif below), Graphite instantly remits payment to the Expert.
Step 4: You continue to pay their invoice on your existing payment terms. There is no cost to you for Instant Pay.
How will I get notified when an expert requests Instant Pay for an invoice?
You will receive an email notification (like the one below) with details of the invoice or project for which the expert requests Instant Pay.
Why did we create Instant Pay?
We're committed to making the on-demand hiring process seamless. The experts you onboard to your projects place a premium on getting quick access to payments due to them. Instant Pay helps you build stronger relationships with experts you love working with at no cost to you.
When an expert requests Instant Pay on an invoice with you, all you have to do is:
Click on the "Review & Approve Invoice" button in the email sent to you (see "How will I get notified when an expert requests Instant Pay for an invoice?")
Click the "Approve this Invoice" button on the invoice inside Graphite (see "How does Instant Pay work?")
Is there a cost to me for Instant Pay?
No, there are no costs to you. Graphite advances funds for Instant Pay to Experts.
Does invoice approval affect my payment terms?
No. You will continue to pay your invoices to Graphite on your terms.
What happens if I don’t approve the invoice?
Your expert will not benefit from Instant Pay on the invoice. You will still be billed for this amount on your standard payment terms.
What do I do if there is an error in the invoice I’m asked to approve?
For the quickest service, please use the “Click here” link at the bottom of the invoice that was emailed to you (example screenshot below).

Can I opt-out of Instant Pay?
Please email us at help@graphite.com. But just a reminder, Instant Pay is offered to experts at no cost to you. You continue to pay your invoices on the payment terms you’ve established with your Graphite Account Executive.
Does invoice approval waive my right to contest the invoice later?
Approving an invoice indicates you've reviewed and agreed to pay the invoice. Email us at help@graphite.com if you feel that you made an approval by error.
