We're happy to announce an improvement to Graphite's "Applied" section in the "Projects" tab that will better inform our experts about their status with a project they applied to. With our redesigned look, experts can easily view more detailed information on the status of their application, enabling them to make better-informed decisions during their project search. The enhanced transparency also gives our experts a better understanding of where their application stands compared to the project's overall progression.
Expert Status Meanings
The “Your Application - Status” field indicates your specific journey through the application process. You can read the “Updates” section at the bottom of the project card for more details.
Applied
Description: We’ve received your application, and Graphite will soon review it.
Shortlisted
Description: You have made the shortlist of applicants, and Graphite will send your application to the client.
Client Reviewing
Description: The client has received your application and is currently reviewing it.
Hidden by Client
Description: Unfortunately, the client has hidden your application from their shortlist and is unlikely to be moving forward with your candidacy.
Interview Requested
Description: The client has expressed interest in getting to know you better and would like to interview you!
Interview Scheduled
Description: Your interview has been scheduled!
Deliberating
Description: The client is currently deciding who they want to hire for the project.
Not Hired
Description: Unfortunately, the client has decided not to move forward with your application.
If you are hired for the job, congratulations! You will receive an email from our team informing you that you've been hired for the project. Once hired, you will be able to see the project listed under the "Active" section in the "Projects" tab of the platform. This will help you easily identify the projects you are currently working on.
Client Activity Status Meanings
The “Project Status - Client Activity” field indicates the project's current progress. Here are some extra details about each status:
Accepting Applications
Description: Graphite is actively collecting applications for the project.
What it means for you: If you believe you’re a good fit for the project, please apply ASAP!
Narrowing Applications
Description: Graphite has vetted the project's top applicants and sent them to the client.
What it means for you: Graphite is reviewing your application. There are no actions to take at this time.
Evaluating Applications
Description: The client is currently evaluating applicants.
What it means for you: Please remain patient. Clients can narrow their shortlist anywhere from a day to a week. If you’re selected, expect to hear from the client soon.
Interviewing
Description: The client is currently interviewing applicants.
What it means for you: Selected applicants are undergoing interviews with the client.
Applicant Hired
Description: The client has hired an applicant for this project.
What it means for you: The client has hired an applicant, and the project will begin soon.
Project Canceled
Description: The client has canceled this project.
What it means for you: The client has decided not to move forward with their project.
