Who are you partnering with for payouts?
Graphite is partnering with Stripe to automate payouts to all Experts on the platform - this will provide efficiencies and a better experience to both Graphite and Experts.
Is this for all Experts on the Graphite platform?
Yes - going forward, all Experts who get engaged on a project on the platform will be paid out via Stripe.
Do I have to create a Stripe account?
Yes, as an Expert receiving funds you’ll create a Stripe account - however, this account creation is created and managed from within the Graphite platform. The Stripe onboarding process is quick and seamless and the Graphite platform will guide you through it.

Is the Stripe platform secure?
Stripe is a trusted platform with over $1 trillion in payments volume. They are used by some of the largest gig platforms and marketplaces in the world and are PCI-DSS certified at the most stringent level.
Why am I required to provide my banking information as part of onboarding to Stripe?
Your banking information is required so that Stripe knows where to send your funds.
Can I get paid as a Corporation or LLC?
Yes, you can get paid as a ‘corporation/business’. Just make sure to select the option when onboarding:
I am already on an active project, will the payments now go through Stripe?
Yes, all payments on all projects will now be sent to you through Stripe, thus onboarding via Stripe is required to receive funds. This includes current active projects and upcoming projects. If you have completed a project and still have outstanding funds to receive, these will be sent via Stripe as well.
How long will it take to get my payment?
The processing time to have the funds deposited into your account is 1 to 3 business days after receiving payment from the Client (banking holidays and weekends excluded). The ACH processing timeline may vary based on your individual bank.
Where can I track my payouts?
You can track payments on the Graphite platform, go to the left menu ‘Billing’ → Payments tab.
You can also track the flow of funds from Stripe to your bank account via the Stripe dashboard that we have enabled for you. Go to the left menu ‘Settings’ → click on Stripe Payouts → View/Update your Stripe Settings.
Will I have to get onboarded for every project?
No, you will only need to onboard to Stripe for payouts one initial time to get paid for all current and future projects.
I don’t have any active projects, do I still have to get onboarded to Stripe?
If you have previously completed a project on Graphite but do not have any current one, we recommend that you still complete Stripe onboarding. You may have an unclaimed expense or some late time that you need to enter or may get engaged on a project in the near future.
I missed the Stripe onboarding pop-up on Graphite. How do I onboard now?
If you’re on an active project, the Stripe onboarding popup should continue to show up each time you log into the platform, but you should also see the onboarding link in the ‘Things to Do’ on your Homepage. Alternatively, you can go to your Settings page in the left navigation to onboard for payouts.
Where can I change my bank settings?
If you need to change your bank account, go to your Settings page in the Graphite platform and click on ‘View/Update your Stripe Settings’. This will open up your Stripe dashboard. Click on the top right on your profile logo - this will load your account settings and the ‘Payout Details’ are midway down the page. You should be able to change it there by clicking on ‘Edit’.

Will Instant Pay also go through Stripe payments?
Instant Pay will also get paid via Stripe, just like normal payments.
Does this change invoicing in any way?
There will be no change to the invoicing process on the platform; this upgrade only affects how you receive funds payouts.
Will expenses also be paid out using Stripe?
Yes, any expense that you are reimbursed for via the platform will be paid through Stripe.
I am not in the US, will I still get paid via Stripe?
Yes, Stripe handles payout to many countries in addition to the US. See full list here. . If you are not in one of the above countries but are on an active Graphite project, let us know at help@graphite.com so we can work together to get you onboarded.
